Representative John Vander Woude has completed his first term in the Idaho House of Representatives as your advocate in the statehouse for District 21. John has been a successful self-employed businessman in the Treasure Valley for over 27 years, and after selling the business to his eldest son, he decided to run for his first public office in 2006. John is still a partner with his other son in the operation of a small dairy farm here in District 21. He has been married for 35 years to his wife, Judy. They have three married children, two sons, and one daughter, and eight grandchildren with two more on the way. Representative Vander Woude’s past involvements have included serving on the state boards of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association (DHIA), the Idaho Dairy Products Commission (IDPC), and the Milk Producers of Idaho (MPI). In 2006, John also completed his 16th year of service on the Board of Trustees for Nampa Christian Schools. During his first two years in the Legislature, John has worked hard to strengthen our economy, our schools and our community. John has enjoyed getting to know many of you through the legislative process and looks forward to continuing his service to the District.
